Знаете, в США существует дивное направление музыки - "Christian", сиречь христианская. Подразумевает идеологически верные христианские тексты *преимущественно новозаветные*, исполняемые в различных стилях и популярные среди воспитываемой в религиозных традициях христианской молодежи. Идея, кстати, вполне себе неплоха: музыка качественная, тексты тоже ничего так. Но музыка в духе "христианский рэп" или там "христианский рок" попервой вызвала у тринадцатилетней меня дикий когнитивный диссонанс: сложно мне было соотнести религиозные тексты и, скажем, рэперский речитатив. Вот совсем сложно. Потом, правда, попривыкла и две недели спустя с удовольствием слушала и "Бенджамин Гейт", и Джона Рубена с его прямо-таки рэперскими проповедями. Короче, свыклись.
Но тут вот буквально сегодня у меня опять случился разрыв шаблона на почве христианской музыки. Потому как мне понадобилось найти прослушанные когда-то песенки того самого Рубена. Попутно я нашла его биографию. И вот тааам...там я узнаю:
